Search engine uses bots also called as "CRAWLERS", who crawls or scans the entire website and collect the information from each and every website and rank them on SEO according to user's need.

INDEXING :

this indexing helps to store the information that crawler's scans through the website. 

RANKING for SEO :  

when the user search for something, the search engine gets results from index and ranks the website based on quality.

STEPS HOW CRAWLERS HELP IN RANKING:

Crawlers scan the whole website and get the information from every corner of the website. Later, it scan the information and store in database know as indexing. And then, finally it stores and rank the website based on quality.

1.PANDA : checks the quality of the content in the website. Quality in the sense, it should not be duplicate and the images should be less than 100 KB.

2.HUMMINGBIRD : if there are irrelevant keyword or a bulk of keyword the crawlers will automatically de-rank your website.

3.PENGUIN : when your website have some back link and if that backlink is duplicate or copied even then the crawlers will de-rank the website.

4.PAGE EXPERIENCE : the website should be mobile-friendly, and must not take much time to load because user's never like waiting.

  

5. RANKBRAIN : checks the relevant content for ranking the website.

On-page SEO : 

The page which is first visible to the user. [For example, Home page]

Title-tag and Meta description should be written in html H1-H6. , On-page SEO, should consist of title-tag and meta description. with URL. 

Of-page SEP :

The pages which is not visible to the user's when they click to website but after clicking on first page i.e. home page, then the user clicks on various pages on that website.They use backlinks. To make it look more attractive.

Technical SEO  :

It is not for  the user's purpose, it for the crawlers use to get better results for ranking.

Technical SEO consist of  

a) Schema markup : this is for crawlers to understand the number of pages we have been uploaded.

b) Sitemap.XML : collection of all pages in a single website like hone page, cart page, shop page, contact us, blog etc.

c) Robots.txt : It uses the syntax for the page which should not seen by crawlers.

         SYNTAX : User-agent :*

                            Disallow : /slug/

d) Canonical tag : this tag is used to find the original website.

Common Mistakes to be avoided for SEO :

1. Don't use irrelevant keywords i.e. no keyword stuffing 

2. Quality of the website should be good and not duplicate.

3. Image should be less than or equal to 100 KB only more than that will lead to blur image.

4. while Ur working on pc don't forget to think about mobile phones because the screen on laptop is big compared to mobile phones.
